![]() I’ve been searching for years for a comparable app, but I have found nothing comparable. Since you were automatically logged out after a few minutes of inactivity, you might have to log in 15-20 times a day. The online version was clunky, had far fewer features and required an Internet connection. ![]() I continued to use the PC app until I bought a Windows 7 machine. You could print any page to any standard page size.Īs I recall, when I bought the app, the cost was about $25, which included a perennial license with updates.Īt some point, Franklin discontinued the software (which ran under Windows XP) and replaced it with an online scheduler. You could use most of the features without an Internet connection. You could sync your calendar with any online calendar or post the calendar on a website and have the calendars automatically synced. You could use any color to highlight any item. You could boldface or italicize any item on any page. You could select fonts and type sizes for any type of entry. There were also many other pages that I didn’t use as often – weekly and monthly schedules (using the same data as the daily schedule), annual goals and priorities, daily diary or record of events, etc., etc. The bottom 1/3 of the page had a place to record expenses at the left and space for notes at the right. You could add numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) and sort the entire list alphanumerically. You could designate each one by priority (A = must be done today, B = nice to get done today, C = doesn’t have to be done today) or use any other letters of the alphabet however you wanted. Anything that was left you could easily move (in bulk, if you chose) to any other date(s) in the future. You could check off the things that you did. The right 1/3 of the page was a to-do list. You could set it to automatically add recurring meetings at specific dates and times (even if the meetings only took place on the third Thursday of the month or every other Thursday, for example) and to automatically add recurring tasks in similar fashion. You could set it to include any range of hours you wanted – and different hours for different days of the week. The schedule took up about 2/3 of the left 2/3 of the page. On the daily schedule, there were little calendars of the current month, previous month and next months across the top of the page. However, mostly I used only two pages – the daily schedule and the address/phone section (which could expand to any number of pages to accommodate all listings, be sorted alphabetically or sorted by user-defined groups (like friends, relatives, cities or states, organizations, specific interests, etc.). It had most if not all of the pages found in the physical planner (which I didn’t need and never bought).
